DukeBox - HelpDukeBox is a JukeBox that loads & plays M3U style playlists. This is the Help document for DukeBox. MenusFile
The File Menu contains up to three items.
OpenOpens an M3U format PlayList. Click on a track shown in the table, or click 'next' to start playing. ExitExit's the DukeBox software. Only relevant to the application form of DukeBox. To close the applet form of DukeBox, browse to a new page or close the tab or browser. Information
The Information menu has two items,
AboutPops a dialog giving the application title, vendor and version. HelpYou're looking at it! Opens this page in the default browser. ControlsThe general controls for configuring DukeBox include some controls that are specific to DukeBox, as well as controls inherited from Tracker and PlayList. NextPlays the next track in the play list. This will be the next row down the playlist table until the last track, then DukeBox will jump back to the first track. If random is selected (the default), a track will be randomly selected from the current playlist. Keyboard ShortcutsDukeBox recognises all the keyboard shortcuts of Tracker, and adds a few specific to DukeBox. The shortcuts specific to DukeBox are:
Related ToolsAccess to some other tools might be very handy for the sound enthusiast. MP3 Repair ToolsSome MP3s do not correctly implement the MP3 format. Native players typically go to extraordinary lengths to correct these problems, and are still able to play the tracks as they were intended.
DukeBox uses MP3 parsing code that is less forgiving of broken files, and will generally skip them.
Use the M3U PlayList CreatorWhile DukeBox can load M3U PlayLists, it has no functionality to create them. Use the native players supplied with the computer, to compile playlists. |
